Do I remember you
from so many years ago?
The man with
a gentle touch
and loving hands,
the softest shoulder
to cry upon ...
budding passion,
almost lovers,
undermined
and rent by fate ...
So many miles away
the years have passed,
our mirrors echo
youthful faces all aglow,
lives lived
on tandem shores.
As silent arms reach
through the ages
spanning years
from then to now,
unseen fingers
ply the keyboard
filling in the time between.
Love and memories
come flooding
into present from the past
and I cry from
just one letter ...
Yes, I do remember you.
Great job! I am not fond of flowerly words without intense emotion, but CJ you write with such intensity that I am captured ... This is lovely and emotionally I experienced it completely! Thanks.

This flows soft and gentle and then, goosebumps at the end. What a wonderfully written piece. Isn't it interesting that we and other people think they aren't remembered? Thanks for this one, C.J.
Edward Rutherford is prepared to do just about anything to escape an arranged marriage to a woman he despises. But his brilliant plan to feign insanity has some rather unwanted consequences...
