The sweet taste of love
Comes in many flavors
Chocolate, vanilla, a gentle kiss
All the things that bring you bliss
It is all there for you to savor
It comes through the Lord, Our Savior
It comes from your partner in life
The one who helps you in your daily strife
It comes from your parents
Who gave you life
It comes from your brothers and sisters
You know the ones. It is their job to make life fester and better
It comes from your friends
They’re with you to the end
It comes from your children and grandchildren
You cherish them through thick and thin
It comes from chocolate
Sometimes it’s bittersweet
It comes from the rain
Trust it, you’re not inane
It comes from a walk in the park
Even if it’s sometimes gloomy and dark
It comes from roses you smell
Knowing that life is beautiful and well
It comes from a touch
Of the ones you love so much
It comes from the aroma of Mom’s cooking
Reminding you of comfort and loving
All this love comes to us from the One above
It is our destiny to be loved and love
