Burdens

Burdens we have many

On any given day, there is at least one

Sometimes leaving us shaken

Perhaps, some are overwhelming

Others infinitely less so

Still, getting through them requires a heave-ho

Through all this trouble and toil

You may find that some of your steps will falter

Yet, it is important to continue climbing up life’s ladder

Profit from each lesson

Grow from the difficulty

Try not to be so grumpy

Recognize your strength …

You are in the driver’s seat

Clearly, this will relieve some of the heat

Burdens we will always have

You can choose to let them wear you down, or cast them aside

Better yet, rely on a friend to help you come up from the dark side

A lot of lessons in one here. If it's worth having - it's worth working for and never give up, come to mind first. Learn from failures and having a friend to lean on complete the thoughts. No one succeeds without learning or completely by them selves. Excellent write.

Nicely worded. Sometimes we succeed, sometimes we don't... Life is not perfect.

Burdens simply get you down, but we must bear them on our shoulders. Help is sometimes available, but time takes care of most of our burdens. Let the Lord know you are overwhelmed with them and he will give you rest. It may take some time, but burdens do go away to wherever. Face them now and go on with life. I like your advice.

Burdens can get one down, but with a firm belief that we will overcome them and perserverence to do so, we can use our energy toward that goal and keep a better frame of mind. Nice write, Kathy.

So right you are and the burdens tend to tire us out and bring us down, that is when we must drop our burndens on a park bench, take a few deep breaths and listen to the light hearted laughter of children...

When we have burdens, we just have to accept them as part of life and go with the flow knowing we can get through any obsticle. Just as well to smile and move on. Thank you Kathy for sharing.

Be smart, let the next one walking besides you to carry yours as well.
And yes, don't be grumpy, nobody likes a nagging one.
And if everything fails, do as Kathy says, heave-ho and hope for the best.

Kathy, I like the whole poem but I particularly like being reminded that I am in the driver's seat. No one needs to be a victim and often the only requirement in avoiding victimization is a decision not to be one. We are strong as you say. Don't be grumpy...that is hard, but being grumpy sure won't make anything better will it? Great advice, and a nice poem. Thanks
be well and happy

Keeping a positive attitude and moving in a forward direction is really the only plausable direction, yet sometimes it can be the most difficult task performed....

The Lord brings ppl into our lives to lighten the burden! Are you okay? Know you are in my prayers, and remember "All you who are heavy laden, rest in me." The Lord wants us to lean on him, and he gave us each other to lean on as well
God Bless
