Eyes That SEE
© By Kathy Armijo
I saw Him, today …
In the numerous aspects of beauty that surrounds me
The lilting laughter of the tiny child
That smile on your lips and shining through your eyes
I saw Him, today …
In your gentle touch as you brushed my tears away
As you comforted a sad little boy
As you instilled worth in a shy little girl
I saw Him, today …
Through the brightness of the rainbow
As the shore moved inward
And a neighbor reached out to lend a helping hand
I saw Him, today …
As you shared your last dollar with one less fortunate
When you asked what was troubling me
When your prayer touched my heart and soul
I saw Him, today …
Through a different pair of eyes
Eyes that see humanity’s worth
Eyes that see without color
Eyes that see pain and happiness
Eyes that SEE
