(c) Kathy Armijo, April 14, 2010 You gave me strength and courage When I had none YOU were my constant guide When I was alone and sad And friends seemed so far away YOU were my constant guide There were times when I felt so abandoned My cross seemed heavier than before. Yet, YOU were my constant guide Where has my peacefulness gone? Did I wander too far from home? Still, YOU were my constant guide Your path was clearly defined Although I was sometimes blind YOU were my constant guide Through all my inadequacies You humbled me and brought me to my knees YOU are my constant guide I am fortunate that YOU are my salvation You give me your love without ration YOU are my constant guide It is in YOU that I find strength Thankfully, you never keep me at arm’s length YOU are my constant guide In thanksgiving for your love and bounty I pledge my eternal fidelity because YOU are my constant guide
