Sometimes, going to a party can be a headache for guys...

It's her party!
And you’re going to dance with her.
She commands her cousin Fred,
as if he was a little boy.

Cousin Fred is tall and slim, with a fair complexion.
He also has wavy dark hair.
He has been named handsome, good-looking
by many of her friends.

What?! I don’t even like her! He protests.
Never mind! It’s her party!
And she has invited me.
And she said, Be sure to bring your cousin along.

Yeah, but she’s fat!
And she pretends to be sexy.
Always wearing low-cut dresses.
She’s a “Fay-Muey” (fat girl)

Besides,
what is Ruby going to say?
She’s going to be jealous.
He continues to protest.

Oh! Why?
Why would Ruby be jealous?
Now she's wondering.
She never knew anything about Ruby.

Are you and Ruby friends?
Yeah!
Steady?
No, not yet.

Then don’t worry.
Dance with my friend.
She likes you.
She tells him again.

They fall into silence the rest of the way.
She glances at Fred out of the corner of her eyes,
Yup! That's my date, he's mine tonight!
And he'll be just going to dance with me!
A smile lifts the corners of her mouth.
