My Handmade Dolls

Hello Friends:

I am trying to make my price more reasonable. I know many friends are struggling during this pandemic period, so I'm not going to charge a bundle for my dolls.

However, I do have to recover my cost for the socks, and for the polyester fillings, the hair, the fabrics for the dolls' clothes and the gold-filled ornaments, if any, on the doll(s) you have chosen. Also, for the box for mailing as well.

The gold-filled chain and the pendant that Prince Xavier-Largo is wearing I may only have 5 of them in stock (the pendant), the gold-filled chain I do have many. The pendant can be opened, and you can even place a small diamond or small semi-precious stone inside if you want as a gift to give to someone who is dear to you. I have only about 10 of such pendants left in my stock. It is gold-filled, the gold will stay if you only let the doll wear it.

Price: US$35.00 for each doll without any gold ornament. US$45.00 for each doll with the gold-filled ornament.
Please add US$10.00 for shipping and handling as the package will be sent with a tracking system.

If you choose any other doll in which there is no ornament but you want me to place one on them for you, please treat the doll as one with ornament and it will be US$45.00 for the doll. I think my price is reasonable compared to those handmade dolls that are selling on Etsy for hundreds of dollars. I like my friends so I'm not going to charge a bundle.

First, I must apologize
to everyone here in AD
for my lengthy absence
in posting my work.

I have recently
acquired a new hobby
into making dolls
from socks.

All my dolls in the pictures
are handmade by myself
from needles and thread,
no machinery was involved.

I'm hoping to set up
a shop in Etsy.
I do not know if these will sell,
yet, I'm happy in creating them.

I think this beats sitting idly at home
during the Stay-at-home lockdown period.
I could not write when my inspiration
would not reach me.

Perhaps I will write a story
about a Dollmaker soon,
but this story will not necessarily be
about me.

In the meantime
I have been keeping myself productive.
During the Stay-at-home-lockdown period
my dolls were created!

Today is the beginning of lifting the lockdowns:

The Recreation and Parks
will be reopened this weekend
and people are allowed to go golfing,
children are allowed to play in the park.

But the retail stores
won't be reopening
until June 12, or mid. June
but only in the capacity of 15%.

The bars and restaurants will also be opened
but I can't remember on what date
or how it will be reopening.
I suppose it will still require the 6 ft. distancing.

Hair salons and gyms
will reopen in July,
so you will have to wait for some time
before you can get a haircut.

It seems to me that the originally set date
of June the 2nd for reopening
was simply forgotten
and never had that date been mentioned.

I pray to God
this schedule will not have
any further changes,
for I am quite tired of the restrictions.

Yet, I am becoming a happy dollmaker
which I won't regret.
I am the happiest person when each doll is made.
There is no doll alike, each doll is unique.

You can order the pattern of the doll,
and I will make that for you,
but it will not be the same sock and same colour,
only the style will be the same.

I know America is going through a lot right now,
I hope you all are coping well with the restrictions.
Keeping yourselves safe and healthy
is the top priority.
