Sweetest Love
I wrote a poem for you today
as I often do
while the song sparrows did fly
and another waning moon drifts on by
where the shadows of memories lie
while I walk into the garden lieu
where the angels tenderly knew
I grew rosemary and sagebrush for you
as I then dance with your dreams
weaving everything that gleans
upon the thoughts of our heart
were I often try to quietly impart
the songs of love's gracile whisper
where the thresholds still glister
as I softly fade... fade... fade
into parchment's stilling verse
where the quietude of our souls disperse
while I write another poem for you
sweetest love through & through...
