Wild Ivy and Sagebrush
It was the nomadic blackness of night
that caused me to listen intently
to the echoing serpentine jewels
befalling from the sky clad moon
peering like pearlescent charms
dancing with diaphanous fingertips
across your bare skin
naked with the mortician’s wound
that I noticed your eternal bouquets
among the softness of the hunter’s moon
painting bridges with wild ivy and sagebrush
where a forest of secrets are overwhelmed
by the consuming passions of our desires…
Poetry: Victoria L. McColley
The trees undress their robes of green to show us the colors
of their souls. And the streams become clear so as to become mirrors with the sky.
And you then revealed the blossom of love under the m oon of harvest.
Beautifully done dear Victoria.
