Expressions of Love
How do I tell you of my love?
Are the words I am capable of expressing
enough to tell you what is in my heart?
Shall I let my soul speak for me?
Lo, I have loved you before the foundation of the world,
and I shall love you through time untold.
You are a part of all my senses, my very being;
my heart beats, my blood flows warm because of you.
You gave me life when I was dreary;
you quenched my every thirst,
and nourished me as only to be dreamed of.
Now you are gone, but can you hear me?
I plead your presence be with me
so that you will know what I feel;
that before…now…forever, it is you
to whom my soul confesses its love.
