The Rythym of Love

He lay on his back, sound asleep.
I watched him with a soft smile.
He looks so peaceful, that I can keep
myself from touching him for a little while.

Just a few short hours before
I was the one sleeping here.
He gently awoke me and he swore
of his love for me and I saw a sliding tear.

I put my arms about his neck.
I spoke of my own love and feelings for him.
I had been in such an emotional wreck…
thinking that I was alone in them.

He gently pushed back the hair from my eyes.
His hands caressed me and he kissed me so deep.
I pressed myself against him with soft tender sighs.
I wanted this moment, forever in memory, to keep.

His hands slid deep into my hair.
I shivered with the sweetness of his touch.
His eyes shone with love and care.
I quivered because I needed him so much.

He laid me back onto the bed
and gently removed my silken gown.
Erotic thoughts drifted through my head.
His lips, to my breasts, went unerring down.

We moved in tune, the rythym only lovers know.
The stars burst and fell, like rain, to the ground.
The midnight sky was filled with a vivid glow.
Our love's music made such a wonderful sound.

Afterwards, holding me close to his chest,
he whispered to me of his love once more.
I was so glad, deep inside my breast,
that his love finally knocked on my heart's door.
