What a price he paid for us!

The Sacrifice He Gave!
 
As my Savior suffered, bleeding and hanging there.
Not one broken bone had he among the scars he bear.
God watched on as he was beaten, could have stopped it anytime.
But he sent his son to die for us and take your sins and mine.
 
God must have thought, we were worth such a sacrifice.
He must have questioned his decision, at least, once or twice.
I hope we didn’t disappoint him on the decision he had made.
I hope we proved that we deserved, the sacrifice he gave.
 
I know my Savior loves me, he’s proved it o’er & o’er.
By giving me salvation and his abundant love so pure.
He asked so little from all of us, for the sacrifice he made.
All we have to do is love and honor him for the new life that he gave.

Your write so perfectly what is always on my heart. What did I do to deserve such a sacrifice? I hope I 'measure up' to loving and honoring His sacrifice.

True, it's a great Easter message. It must have been tremendous to have been one of the guards or one of His friends and family to witness such an event.

You're right. That's all. He did it all for us, paid for our sin and offered us new life, if we will only come to Him and receive.
Isn't Easter week a wonderful time to reflect on His great love for us? Hallelujah, Christ is alive!
