The Father & The Son
Jesus and I were walking following his crucifixion on that tree.
I could find no words to thank him for what he did for me.
No words were spoken as we walked just serenity in the air.
Both of us were meditating, both were in deep soundless prayer.
I was thanking God for the sacrifice he gave to us that day.
In giving HIS son to die for us, so down our sins we’d lay.
As Jesus walked beside me with the holes for all to see.
HE had a look of longing, when we passed by that tree.
“I did it for you, you know, I did it to set you free.”
“I did it to make it easier, for you to come to me.”
“When in prayer you kneel, asked it in my name.”
“There will always be an answer for that is why I came.”
“Now it may not be answered in the way that you’ve dreamed.”
“For I see into the distant future and know My Father’s scheme.”
“Never think I’ve forsaken you, if the answers don’t seem to come.”
“For we will be right there with you forever, the Father and the Son.”
