Every time I see a picture of Mary holding her son, many questions are there that I feel I need to know. Since that isn't possible, I dream I'm talking to her.
Thank You Mary
Mary, did you know when you first held your precious son?
The awful persecution he would face in life, much later on?
Did you know how extraordinary he’d be to all the lost souls?
Did you ever realize the valued lives he would make whole?
That little baby you are holding in your arms was God’s gift to you.
I think you knew it from the beginning, if the writings are true .
God sent to you an Angel to tell you of HIS glorious birth.
Did the Angel tell you more, to let you know your son’s worth?
Or did you just raise your son as simply as other mother’s do?
Bringing HIM up with values and observe his faith as it grew?
Not knowing God’s plan for him but understanding that one was in place.
I’ve tried so hard to read the answers as I look upon your face.
I guess it really doesn’t matter if you knew or didn’t know.
For you raised a special son, as you lovingly watched him grow.
How hard it must have been for you to watch HIM on the cross.
There are no words inside of me to express, for your heartfelt loss.
This man who was crucified and died by others hands.
Was that precious little baby, you helped walk and stand.
I wish someday to hug you & thank you for your sacrifice.
In giving your son for all of us, for giving us our Christ.

I could not imagine her sorrow as she watched her son be crucified. I hurt deeply if my child had the flu! Your wondrous questions will be answered one day.
I love this poem Bonnie -- I believe that Mary and Joseph certainly knew this baby child was the Son of God from the angel's visits and visions -- you may ask Mary anytime you wish -- peace and love to you my friend --
What a wonderful gem of a poem!!! We've often talked and praise Jesus, but we've never thought of praising his mother, Mary.
A very thoughtful poem indeed!!!

Georg has a good question, because I think you are already talking to Her. Bonnie, this is, somehow, the most beautiful expression of a most heartfelt expression. Well done. Well done, indeed!!!
In His young years, Jesus confronted corrupted temples, and Jesus confronted pagan Roman force, and He bravely offended them in both word and deed. We can only wonder how a mother viewed His risk as He walked forward in His proscribed path. But Jesus confronted something else, too, Jesus confronted and was wrapped deeply within His mother's love, just as deeply as He was enwrapped in His Father's plan. Some of the pain of this is told in scriptures; much is not.
I have written a chapter called I Am That, I Am in this inspirational compilation book by best-selling authors and wonderful people from all walks of life xox :-D (Its sister book is called Adventures In Manifesting - Success and Spirituality)
