The man I see is a gallant knight
with sword bared ready to fight.
The passion that drives his will
allows him to fight with cunning skill.
To destroy the enemies of his mind
who tortured his soul time after time.
To unmercifully destroy them all
for the cities to rise and the cities to fall.
By night he travels following moon
with hope to find his destiny soon.
In the shadows cast by light
is the spirit of the dark knight.
Seeing the truth is the one with eyes
she follows him and will abide,
the true desires her heart for this knight
appearing as "The Lady Hawk of Night."
She follows the path to where he leads
because together they hold the key.
With true love and blind faith
they will lead all to heavens gate.
Part 2
The Cry into the Night
He wanders through the forest of pines
clearing thoughts to rest his troubled mind.
He hears a heart rendering cry in to the night
quickly he prepares with his sword to fight.
What he finds, does his eyes deceive
beauty in the forest he does see.
Wounded and not able to take flight
he finds a lady, "The Lady Hawk of Night."
He gathers the lady into his arms
to love and protect her from all harm.
The wounds are deeper than the eyes can see
he worries with anticipation of what will be.
He guards and protects her through the night
he knows when she wakes she will take flight.
Morning comes with anguish and regret
he fears for the true love he has just met.
He watches with such sorrow as she takes flight
standing there watching, until she is out of sight.
Knowing in his heart that she will never be alone
he rides the winds until they unite before the throne.
