The Song
Clouds drifted across the silent night
as dreams invaded my wanton soul,
yearningly awakened within,
slumbered awed to freedom.
A golden wolf appeared
singing upon the lure of the moon,
echoes of howls were heard
within the gentle winds.
Lost to the ecstasy
my soul embraced the song
of the "golden wolf"
who cried upon a lonely heart.
From within, upon the dream
I sang with sorrow the song of hope,
to fulfill the desires of the heart
and to free the wolf from her song.

Beautiful poem,good imagery.
A wolf it howled from distant hill,
Echoing its call in wanton thrill,
Seeking out that lonesome heart,
In its love's message to impart.
