The Wait

I am just a simple person,
waiting,
for you affections,
yet, I receive not a word,
though you are there,
am I even in your thoughts,
dare I ask?

Though I may not be
within your site,
can you not feel my gaze,
my love,
or hear the unspoken
words of my heart?

I watch you from a distance,
loving you,
waiting with patience,
hope,
and faith,
that you will see me for who I am,
and for whom I am not.

Will you ever take the time
to look beyond the surface
and see the truth before your eyes?

Silently, I am waiting, loving you.

Hi Tracey,
Is that poor girl still sitting on the banks of the Seine,I keep telling her to go into Paris and make some money, never seen her smile yet.
You have a good eye for pictures.
Your Poetry is pretty good to.
All the best

There is an unspoken pain that comes with being invisible to the one your love. Thank you for reminding us that we are not alone in such feelings
