A gentle breeze
caressed against my soul
and sent my thoughts
to a distant path
where I found you
standing with words
dripping from your pen.
The page freshly written
wrapped around my heart
like cherished love letters bound,
tucked away in an old shoe box.
Each letter folded with care
marked with tear stains
of another time, another place.
You wrote each word,
trying to capture
the depths of emotions
for eyes to see,
the heart to feel,
for the words to penetrate,
to explore beyond the walls of my heart.
I saw and felt what you were saying
between the hidden lines
of this carefully written page.
I too, knew the breeze
had blown in a new direction
that lead us to this place and time,
the path of discovery, yours and mine.

P.S. i just reread it! I consider the flow of the poem untouchable. A work of art! It flowed thorough my mind and heart, and it felt like a feather inside of me.
