Summer never ends, it just pauses, and allows the other seasons to bless us at their appointed times and in their own special ways.
The cycle of the seasons was borne of the infinite wisdom of the Creator. Who among us, had we been given the task of designing the climate for our spinning sphere, would have thought to include seasons not just of pleasure but also of rest, then of rebirth?
Just as we celebrate the summer's sun, so we will stand in awe of autumn's beauty, wink at winter's breath, and savor spring's awakenings.
The seasons are gifts for us to enjoy...so we expectantly welcome autumn even as we reflect on the pleasures that we have enjoyed during the latest edition of summer.

The picture is almost as lovely as the words Fritz. Glad I live in a climate where seasons change, each one is so precious in its own way. You have captured it beautifully.
The passing of Summer has always brought a silent sadness for me, even though I've always loved the Fall.

This is just beautiful, for lack of a better word. I particularly like the question of who among us would choose the seasons... I'd never thought of it quite that way. You have a gift with words AND a great gift with vision - your pictures are awesome and I'm grateful for the opportunity to see them. Thank you.
