You hit the nail on the head! I'm really surprised still have the title, “ Love,” available. I keep discovering that I'm using the same title over again and have to change the second one. Since it begs the question, perhaps the title should be, “Love?”

You have placed a great deal of 'happening' into these few lines. The effect is complete revelation. Scrolling down to read your text, the first thing I see is the image of a precious braid, so cared for with ribbon, so shockingly truncated. Then, entering your poem, the words immediately interlaced into the painting and the lines read like a beautiful romance clear to the last provocative line, which bookended the experience of seeing the sliced, sacrificed braid. Artistic flare of line placement made this a fabulous poem to me; and it was enhanced with your last word "Love?" Marvelous writing! ~~ Diana
