The question of truth or lies dominates the discourse of current events with a seemingly endless challenge to our sanity. “By a lie a man throws away and, as it were, annihilates his dignity as a man. A man who himself does not believe what he tells another…has even less worth than if he were a mere thing… makes himself a mere deceptive appearance of man, not man himself.” Immanuel Kant (Image by pinterest)

Deception’s Martinet
The bluster of lies.
The slime of glad handing.
The burial of truth.
Such are fear’s tools of expression.
Reality becomes…
Light revealing shadows void.
Gravity yielding to bodies transparent.
Principles becoming ashen history.
Ahead…
Museums will feature war and death’s black and white
over running once colorful landscapes of peace,
and polished granite and marble sculptures
will be replaced with prophetic abstract installations,
reminding the future that humanity’s antiquities
of honest accomplishment
are being replaced with muddied brush strokes
and chaotic sculpting of deception’s Martinet.
Love ya!

At first I thought perhaps you meant "marionette." But after rethinking martinet works well as well.
There is a good lesson here for anyone reading if they just get beyond the literal.
