When the burdens of the world weigh heavy upon my spirit, I
thank God that she's here to shelter me in the soaring heights
of her being. There is nothing my old heart cherishes more
than to steal quietly away from the daily grind and explore
my love's beautiful garden. The fragrant perfume of the
world's sweetest flower fills me, dizzying me, as it wafts up
into the crisp morning air. All I can do to show my gratitude is
to gently spread the delicate petals and give it a tender kiss
as the light filters through the trees causing the dew to glisten
like diamonds against her dark motherland. Far away, I listen
to her blissful voice sing and it brings joy to my heart though
I've heard the song before. Coming from her voice, the notes
are all perfect echoes of Heaven. At times, I venture to that
secluded part of her garden that makes her the happiest that
she can revel in the delight that she deserves. Someday, I
will plant my own seed there but at her calling. "The time",
she says, "must be right". Until then, I can dance with her in
her valley into which few others have been.
