Across a vast expanse of sky and undulating sea
Awaits a hazy distant shore with promises for me
My hopes traverse those azure skies they tug upon my sleeve
Inviting me enticing me and daring me to leave.
I hear the far off trumpets blare in wakeful reveille
What treasures wait to demonstrate there’s plenty there for me
I shan’t be late to cast my fate throw caution to the wind
With no regrets just silhouettes of things that might have been.
To think that once in astro times in subatomic states
We may have journeyed here from stars while locked in frozen spates
To ride and hide thence to collide while seeking life and form
What mysteries remain perhaps in vain within our moving storm?
I must explore that distant shore it’s in my DNA
To find my dreams in unknown themes before they slip away
To live to love and this above to shine so blissfully
With all the luster I can muster that beams inside of me.
I must be free to seek my dreams that flow from time and space
Of course the me that’s in my plea puts you in my embrace
Together or in separate ways as far as we can see
To go we must with all that’s just to find our destiny.
