Life is an experience
To be lived
Only by walking through
Fire
Can we begin to
Understand that
Life is an obstacle course
A testing ground
Where we get beaten
And battered
And molded into something
Livable
A work in progress
While becoming
A little stronger
More understanding
More compassionate.
We learn from
All our fellow creatures
Like worms and germs
And trees and bees
And baboons.
We develop our
Own inner beauty
From a sunset
A song
A poem.
Suffering teaches us
Humility.
Giving teaches us
The joy of
Receiving.
Tolerance builds
Strength
Forgiving builds
Character.
Learning to love
Shows us that
It is all
Worthwhile.

Are you saying I am a baboon...? But I will forgive you as you say it builds character, wait a minute, now you are saying I am a character...maybe I should just leave all this alone and go back to my picking of bugs out of my fur & keep swinging through the trees...-e-
I think I'll skip that "walking through fire" part. It can severely damage your skin and burn the only hair you've got right off your bod. As for the rest of the advice in this poem, it's almost evangelical.
