Let Beauty Abound

Imagine a world that is free from all strife
Imagine a land that honors all life
Imagine a future where we are all free
Imagine a place there for you and for me.

How might we live in a place filled with joy
That neither the seasons nor time could destroy
Where hate was replaced with love’s magic power
And beauty welled higher with each passing hour.

There is no such place in this world that is certain
Unless we look somewhere behind that far curtain
To a time and a place that few get to see
Beyond the sunset where our souls can live free.

Some call it paradise and some call it heaven
Where love’s light surrounds all dwellers there given
Some say it’s foolish to ponder such things
Keep your feet on the ground not on your mind’s wings.

I say let’s be foolish and let’s take a chance
Let’s free up our minds and learn how to dance
We may never find what our hearts cannot see
Let beauty abound and set out souls free.
