           Morning Love

The swirling images and tangled thoughts
Of things that were and maybe not
Recede into wisps of cloudy haze and tiny dots
As dawn awakens me.

Ten thousand times I’ve felt this scene
And blinked my eyes from sleep serene
Asleep awake perhaps between
And she was always there.

She lay there heaving and softly breathing
Her lips were parted sweetly
Disheveled hair was everywhere
My heart was madly beating.

Primal urges came in surges
At least they did today
They grabbed and clutched and pulled me close
There’s little more to say.

My arms surrounded her body parts
As words climbed near my lips
She shifted slightly toward me
She kissed my fingertips.

Some say love is like a river
That flows out to the sea
I say love is like a mountain
That tells a tale on me.

She climbed that mountain
And staked her claim
She usually gets her way
It's a game we play to start the day
Well, not every day.

It certainly is nice to have that kind of company in the morning. I'm with you in spirit and in reality. Made you wax quite poetic, to say the least.

Beautiful and sensual. It got hotter with each stanza. When you reach the summit, you've reached the climax. And why wait for tomorrow? What's wrong with tonight? Rock on.

Ahhh, lovely, lovely words to wake up to (literally). Thanks for getting my day off to a wonderful start. It's almost like I was there...
