Mythodical Romance

Waking abruptly,
I stir to this unwoken day.
I get ready
for the long hours ahead,

making my way
down the highway to work.
The stars above
and sleepy towns along the way.

So much to do
before I return
home
again.

Embracing the evening hours
with children to feed,
homework to do
and baths to give.

All the breath
of a full house
with a strong
beating heart.

Turn to me when all are asleep
wake me
before the chime calls
to go again.

Embrace me and let me
ripple up your spine
to catch the stardust
that glitters in your eyes.

Let me dissolve
in this mythodical romance
absorbing the energy
this day has not yet taken.

Here in the twilight
I will fall to you.
To live and breathe in you
putting my heart next to yours.

Look into my soul
and find me
at the foot of a whisper;
lost in this mythodical romance.

Beautiful poetry... and imagery. I especially loved this line: "Look into my soul and find me"

Welcome to the Den.. Do make yourself at home. I hope your stay is as enjoyable as mine has been.

I find this one so lovely and romantic and somehow comforting.
