Awaken

Over the shouting
of this silence
ever so softly
like a feather
drifting on and on,
a whisper
floats gently in the air.

The sun disappears
into the ocean
and a hot summer wind blows.
Stars come out
to blanket the night sky.

In the moonlight
we are wrapped
in each other’s arms
weaving and dancing
on pure emotion,
catching a ride
on the tail of a comet.

Awakening I slip back into reality…

The sound of the rain
gently taps at the window.
Like a snare drum
in a jazz band,
it plays a chorus
of rhythm and blues.

My fingers slide
on the rim of my coffee cup.
I rejoice in the dreams
of tomorrow.

hmmm...romance is your forte :) Okay, now, I've read two of your poems that have VERY similar titles to a couple of my poems. When I saw your titles, Of course I could not resist...and NOW, I must post them! hehehehe These, of yours, are positively DREAMY. Love it.
