Try reading it, reading helps believing; it's just a story comes out of nothing.

This man, Elbert, most people called him - Leggy Run. I have known him, over the years, to be a very nice person. In fact, I can say that about him with my hands high up into the air. Even many others who have known him, for a very long time; I’m sure that they will, yet, say all nice things about him too. However, good that he had survived that nasty shock – which he had suffered – when that green lizard ran after him. They said that he is call – Leggy Run, because he is quick to run away from all creepy things.

Even so, according to one of his friends, Edwin! Who have said this: such an incident, which had happened to Leggy; by his encountered with the plum tree’s green Lizard – it’s only fair for others to hear about it, quickly! Well, after when he had been truly satisfied; with what he had heard about the lizard, which ran after Leggy. He then said within himself – oh, boy, what a story! Bill needs to hear this, right away; and so, is everyone else – who doesn’t hear it yet. Bill is Edwin’s closest friend.

Then as soon as Edwin saw Bill, he called out to him and said this: Hey Bill, come and listen here. I must let you hear all what I have just heard. Seeing as, it’s my feeling that you surely ought to hear it. Then if you are willing to listen – here we go, my friend – sit you down just where you will be quite comfortable. For, guess what – it is not very pretty, what I have to say.

All the same – I’m quite sure that you deserve to hear all of it. And so, Bill, this is what they said had happened to our friend - Leggy. So far – you might have even heard the entire story already; as well as – you might’ve not. “No! I haven’t heard anything regarding Leggy lately”, said Bill! Ah! That’s why I thought it would be such a shame – for you to have missed out hearing all about it, replied Edwin.

Whilst he continues – then as you hadn’t heard it yet – youbetter make sure that time is not your problem, at the moment. Then again, be warned for it’s a little bit lengthy, but not too terrifying. However, please my friend just stay here – and allow me to tell you all what I’ve heard earlier, today. Bear in mind, though, there could’ve been more to it – but I can only say just what I’ve heard yet.

Also, if I might add - my memory is not very watertight neither these days. In which case – I may even forget part of the story.  Are you getting me so far, Bill? “Yes, Edwin!” said Bill! Edwin, well, you better just prepare yourself quite at ease. If you really want to hear something! Keep in mind, as I’ve already mentioned, it is indeed quite a story; one that has to be told, Bill.

Then are you fairly sure that you are quite ready to hear it? “Yes, I’m ready”, replied Bill! Edwin, ok, my friend this is it. Well, Bill, I doubt whether you know this – but Leggy is a man, who you just can’t hide a plum from. He is certainly a man for plums; actually - he’ll eat all sorts of non-poisonous plums; at any time, day or night.

Edwin, having said that! Guess what – Bill, there is this big plum tree – in the garden of the home where he’s living; and there is also a lizard – which lives on the tree too. Well, according to what they are saying so far – it seems that the lizard doesn’t gets on very well with Leggy. In other words – the lizard doesn’t like to see him. It gets all upset – whenever it happens to see him.

If only you can get what I’m saying to you, Bill! Do you sure that you are listening to me, though? Edwin asked! Then said Bill, “Oh, sure I’m listening alright, Edwin!” And then, Edwin continues: and he said – one day, of a truth, it’s only last Friday. When poor Leggy – he tried picking him few plums; and he was frightened away. That’s by the same green lizard – which is living on the plum tree.

I heard that he was so frightened – Bill, they said that he had almost gotten himself killed. See! Already, you are shaking your head, Bill. I saw you! It seems as if you don’t want to believe me. Well, I know what you are like! Just one, who’s quite hard to believe – whenever somebody is telling you a thing or two – especially, about what one had heard, Mr. Bill. I know you well enough, said Edwin, with a slight grin.

Long story short… It took too long to get to the story! And, although the vernacular was quite good, I think some editing would make it more publishable.

We have green geckos that run very fast. Not always in a person's direction. My ex-wife found one in the house, got all upset and sprayed it with insect spray. The poor critter probably died from having that oily irritating substance on its skin a slow and painful death.

My current partner is deathly afraid of them on the garden walls. Both she and my wife don't seem to know that they eat a lot of harmful insects and wouldn't hurt a human, but probably would a flea.
