Friends don't let friends shoot 'em in the butt. (Can't help it, satire dead ahead!)

This story is one more reason why no one should own a gun for sport. Those things are meant strictly for revolutions that the world loves to televise.

Wonder if this classifies as purple heart stuff?
Read the link and take guns away from trigger happy old guys in politics who need viagra so they can shoot somethin'' and not get hurt. If Lynn kept him busy in the "whoo-la-lah" department he would give up hunting all together.

Wonder if the victim is gonna sue the shooter on the People''s Court? White House edited film at 11....

And since it is Valentine''s season, chocolate is the all around cure-all for anyone who shoots or gets shot in the woods. Not only will they have forgiveness and love in their hearts, all they''ll be able to shoot at each other is gas.

So fellas, if you gotta shoot at some balls, I suggest pool. (Hope Vice President Dick doesn''t give his suffering friend a dart board as a get well gift.) Besides what''s up with him breaking a hunting code and not purchasing his hunting stamp?

As for Lynn''s gift to her husband this Valentine''s Day. . . .I suggest these hot sexy videos:  http://www.wiseacre-gardens.com/sale/books/tunesvideo/tunesvideo.html

Dick Chaney will be to quail hunting as Gerald Ford is to golf!!
At least he was shooting at lawyers and not real people. I loved your little article. . .very funny
thank you . . Smokey Lonesome

I dunno, maybe VP Cheney was exhibiting his ability for making snap executive decisions in the field. Finding himself suddenly presented with the choice between shooting a flock of perfectly innocent birds...and a lawyer...

Hmmm. What to do. What to do. :o)

The good part is that al'ls well that ends well. We can kid about it now because the incident did not turn out worse. I have an idea the VP will never live this one down.

Good Write, Cynth'ya!! Enjoyed it!

Great, fun piece. I was married to the world's most manic hunter for 20 years. NO ONE in the world hunted more than he did. He never shot a buddy . . . but he did shoot a hole in the floorboard of his truck -- while he was driving it!! He also caught the same vehicle on fire, while he was driving it . . . but THAT's another story.

Personally, and yes, my opinion's severely colored by intimate experience, I believe hunters are a "special" breed of insane. Can we spell O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D?!

I guess we all need our idiosyncracies. Accidents DO happen. They're just more public when they happen at the hands of the Vice President of the United States.

Cynth'ya,

I feel sorry for Dick Cheney; he must feel terrible! But accidents are bound to happen if people don't learn to use guns correctly. Truthfully, I am terrified of guns, and I always have been. Loud unexpected noises do too; they remind me of guns or bombs going off, and I totally wig out! I am sorry the man Dick Cheney hit by accident got injured, but according to last reports, they think he is going to be okay. It could have very easily been so much worse. Thought provoker you have penned here; very well done!

(((HugS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

Cynth'ya,

Even though it's not the gun that kills and injures, I personally don't like them. They terrify me. Look at all of the evidence of children getting their hands on weapons and using them against family or friends; madmen getting their hands on them and not caring who they shoot...you make valid points here. Well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Provocative write, very well done.

This story is one more reason why no one should own a gun for sport.

And this is a man who loves shooting down 50-60 birds before lunch; we're quickly running out of both birds and obviously now, his friends.

At least old Gerald Ford only shot errant golf balls at his buddies.
