Just another angry loveless selfish suffering Catholic single mother living in this world today who feels alone? Her only boy age 5 lost amidst the rubble from the island earthquake. 7 days gone by, rescue searchers say no hope left!
Angry Mother in tears visits her local fatherly priest. Down the dirt road that leads to her temple of worship. Holy man in black with silver and gold cross sits and comforts.
They talk about Jesus, and all he did for us. They pray together for the seventh day, but this day is different!
A stranger appears from nowhere and walks by that hurting mother on this day. From the looks of him he seems like a spiritual man, but wears no markings. He is dressed in a pure white robe with slippers on his feet. Long brown hair down his back, heavy beard on his face with a moonshine smile & soulful worldly eyes,
She turns back to her priest, but he is gone. The stranger approaches the angry grieving woman, and asks her just one simple question.
"Do you forgive yourself, trust me and do you forgive your other fellow human beings you have encountered during your lifetime for all the sins you both have acted upon each other?"
An expression of puzzlement forms on her old wrinkled face. "What do you mean the grieving mother asks?"
"2nd time, Do you forgive yourself and do you forgive other fellow human beings you have encountered during your lifetime for all the sins you both have acted upon each other?"
"I really don’t have time for stupid questions Sir; I just want to find my only son alive?"
"Last time, Do you forgive yourself and do you forgive other fellow human beings you have encountered during your lifetime for all the sins you both have acted upon each other?"
The two strangers make eye contact.
"Just a simple Yes or No will be fine the mystery man asks?"
The mother tilts down her head and screams, "Okay YES; I forgive myself for all the sins I have done to people in my life!"
She pauses, and looks back up at the stranger.
"And," the stranger speaks with a graceful voice of an angel.
Once again with her head down the mother screams even louder this time,
"Yes, Yes, I forgive those souls out there who sinned upon me!"
The emotionally drained mother looks up to give thanks, but the stranger is gone.
Then in the distant she hears a large mob approaching the church. Intrigued, she walks up to the front door to the church, & opens the wide doors to see what is going on.
What she sees in front of her perspective field of vision blows her mind?
Hundreds of people from her local village are approaching the church, but what catches her clear fresh eyes is not the mob, but what the strong man in front is holding in his muscle arms.
Tears of joy begin to flow from her miracle touched eyes as she sees that strong rescue worker holding her 5 year old child in his muscle arms.
The boy, her boy, is healthy and alive and now safely back with his biological mother where they rightly belong together to grow and learn life lessons down the road of time from each other.
And all others who stroll through the life of this once angry selfish mother who,will now see a mother living in the moment, and not in the past, with a blessed open heart with only love to give and share,
Just another miracle, on just another day, at just another random place
A miracle performed by whom, what, and why you might ask?
Does that really matter?
What does matter is the result and verdict,
"Good, forgiveness, and life defeats evil, fear, and death every time!"
And,
"I choose Life every time from now on."
"I will follow the path of light over the path of darkness."
