He heaved at the duffel bag and the exertion caused spittle to form at the corners of his mouth. His fingers twitched around the bag as it was hoisted correctly onto his right shoulder, lest his left shoulder dislocate again as it was wont to.
Ever since his formative years, as he liked to call them, when he was cornered in the alley in his hometown and beaten up by a ragtag of bullies armed mostly with insolence, he suffered the trauma of limiting the exertions on his left shoulder.
With this, his anger at their actions had dramatised his life into the purveyor of misdemeanours he had become........
Jerry Lowenstein, an octogenarian and a nice guy, has written a fantastic mystery/ suspense novel that takes place just after WW2 on and near Bikini Atoll. He actually witnessed an atomic bomb test. Can you imagine that?
