sent o me by email from a real close friend. have no reason to disbelieve the story especially since all the news recently about the world finely being enlightening. since 1959 I've been keeping up with UFO's and you might say I've always believed 'they' were here or that 'they' were here even before we were here.

My first husband & I were living on *** *****close to *****in ***********. The housing development was new, and there was no house behind our house. It was just an open field. In fact, I think there were only 2 houses around us. At that time, I slept very soundly each night (not like now), and rarely woke up, unless my child was sick.
One night, a sound outside the house woke me up. I got out of bed and looked out the window, toward the open field behind us. I saw an object that I can only describe as a space ship (yes in the shape of a saucer). It did not land, but levitated several feet off the ground for what seemed like several minutes. Then it lifted up toward the sky and was gone. I remember standing there staring in disbelief, wondering how I could be seeing this. How something like that could land in a small town and not be noticed. (This area was more country than city, though) That is why I thought I might be dreaming. But it was intensely real, and I always doubted that I dreamed it.
I don't remember any bright lights with it, or any loud noises, just a low hum. My husband slept right through it, but he was a really sound sleeper. I have thought about that night many times, and tried to decide if I really saw it, if I dreamed it, or if I was just going crazy. But the experience never left me, and my gut tells me that I really did see something. I told my husband about it the next day, but he was skeptical and said I was probably dreaming. Since then, I've told my best friend and husband #2 (my current hubby). Both of them gave me the benefit of the doubt on it. Because of that experience, I believe in the possibility that UFO's do exist, and that people who have seen them are not necessarily "crackpots". I have read things since then, where airline pilots and many reputable people have seen UFO's. But this is not a story I share with people, because of the skepticism that exists with most people. You can share the story, but don't tell whose story it is,
There is nothing special about this story. It's a common story. The fact that the person supposedly writing it does not want to be identified is a sure sign that it is fake. Sure, there are skeptics like me out there. But if someone wants to reveal the truth. They have to reveal the whole truth. Not hide behind anonymity.
There seems to be a big confusion about UFOs. What the acronym says is, Unidentified Flying Object. It doesn't say, Visitors from Outer Space. The reason these sightings are labeled UFO is simply that they're not identified. Most sightings are readily explained. My brother, a friend and I all observed a light in the western sky after sunset about 1957 that wandered around for a while in a seemingly random motion and then flew vertically straight up at incredible speed. To me then and to me now, it was an unidentified object. A friend of mine who observed space and air for the Air Force and NORAD, stopping the onset of nuclear war twice from false missile launches reported to the administration, won't even talk about UFOs because their team identified everything they saw on their instruments happening globally 24/7.
I have been watching both the UnXplained (William Shatner needs to retire, he's getting senile) and Contact. What I'm seeing is a bunch of re-warmed old stories with all that eerie voiceover and music to try to make them a little bit more interesting and palpable. I much prefer the science-based programs where we are really finding out new scientific information, not rehashing old myths, fears and beliefs.
