Saoirse - pronounced ‘Sirsha.’
.
It was Saturday, 5:47am. Awakening earlier than usual, I swung my feet off the edge of the bed, opened the wooden shutters, and sat gazing out at the Pacific Ocean. Today I was going to experience something I could never have imagined, something that would clearly demonstrate to me how Providence is involved in the lives of those who believe (and those who do not) in ways that are far beyond anyone’s ability to comprehend.
.
And so it began…
.
In the twinkling of an eye, I was gone from the room and hovering in the atmosphere above a vast oceanic expanse. Notwithstanding being fraught with sudden apprehensions, a remarkable peace had gripped me, which allowed me the perspicacity to evaluate the surroundings. Just below me I noticed a woman in the water. But how could this be? There were no land masses, islands, or vessels anywhere in my field of view. She was just there, in the middle of nowhere, struggling alone. My first impulse was to dive down to save her, but as I tried to poise myself to do so, I realized that all I could move were my arms and head. Given this, I began waving and shouting with as much fervor as I could muster, but it wasn’t long before I realized that the woman was clearly incognizant of my presence.
.
The strain of struggling was obvious in her features. Not only was she fighting to keep from drowning, but all around her dark shadows were appearing and vanishing, seemingly as if deaths inevitability was mocking her. A rush of feelings and questions raced through me.
Why was this happening?
And why was I here?
Why was I seeing something I was incapable of interfacing with?
Having no answers, I felt whelmed with a feeling of helplessness, and the peace that had satisfied me earlier was gone. Again, I tried to free myself to help her, but I was still unable to move anything except my arms and head.
.
For some moments this struggle went on. But then… in the twinkling of an eye, I was back sitting on my bed, looking out the window. It was as if I hadn’t moved at all. How could I make sense of it? It was as real as anything I’d ever experienced, but because I was fully incapable of grokking what happened, I decided to press into the day. Hopefully, perhaps some insight or revelation may come to me later. Following prayer, morning rituals, and a good hot shower, I dressed myself, and went to the dining room for coffee.
.
The first thing I noticed was a woman across the room staring out the window. That’s when it started. A wave of familiarity washed over me, which was surprising, because I had no idea who she was. Then, she turned and looked at me directly, and what I saw in the spirit flooded over me like a wave. In her eyes, I saw an intense kind of love reaching out, and from her heart, a silent plea for understanding, and from her mind, I heard a desperate cry to be freed from some despicable thing bedeviling her.
PART TWO…
We’d met at a rustic lodge along the Samuel H Boardman corridor, between Brookings and Gold Beach, along Hwy 101 in Oregon. After staring at each other for some moments, she finally waved at me to come join her. What could I say? She was beautiful. And when her warm smile washed over me, I realized that accepting her invitation would be the easiest decision I’d ever made. After informing the waitress that I was changing tables, I made my way over to where the woman was still standing near the large bay window. Turning quietly, she smiled, and then motioned me towards a chair. When I was seated, she sat down too. The first thing we did was order breakfast. Then, after staring out the window a few moments more, she turned and told me her name was Saoirse Gilbride. I thought the name quite lovely, and recalled it being Irish in origin, and meaning ‘freedom’ in Ireland’s native tongue.
.
Breakfast was served.
.
During the meal, chitchat was light and informal. But the moment Saoirse’s trust had deepened, she slid her chair closer. After that, she opened up, in particular about a recent experience she’d had, when a brilliant light had been broadcast over her like a pharos along a tangent. She told me it felt very much like someone was offering her something to accept or reject. For some reason it didn’t surprise me. I was riveted with her narrative, and the vast range of emotions that chased across her face were equally fascinating. At first I had trouble grokking, but her ability to hold my attention was truly uncanny. Sensing she was perfectly sane, and now fully intrigued with what she was sharing, I leaned back to listen.
.
As she told it, this same phenomenon had happened to her on several occasions, and always from within the shadows (that emerged from the light) a susurrus of soothing voices would promise her the desires of her heart, if she would but embrace and believe what they were telling her. With fiery eyes, she assured me she never had, and had never even once considered it. She made a point of stressing that to me several times, almost as if it was the most important thing I should know. She had never given in. It seemed to me that her discernment had worked well to protect her in those instances. Turning towards me, she began to conceptualize philosophically the line of demarcation between light and shadow, as she saw it, and then went on to describe also feeling as if the light was a living being, and the more credence she prescribed to it, the more it would disseminate dark shadows around her.
.
Then she leaned in closer…
.
“How can what appears as light, have dark shadows in it? I care not for the shadows. Nor do I care for their silky voices. They scare me, and I do not believe them. Still, I am drawn to listen because they seem to know me. But how can that be?”
.
A kinship was forming between Saoirse and me; one that felt perfectly natural. There was nothing strange about her at all. She was intelligent, insightful, informative, trusting, spiritually perceptive, filled with Gods love, and remarkably cogent. As I listened, I began feeling that Saoirse was the woman I’d seen in my vision.
.
Something shifted in me then…
.
A little over an hour had passed since we’d finished eating, and I really hadn’t been able to get much in. Needing a change, and sensing Saoirse needed one as well, (but was too polite to say) I settled the bill, and invited her to walk with me out where the Jeffrey and White-bark Pines were thinning along the high cliffs. I’d been along this path several times before, and I wanted to share the experience with her. Happily she agreed, and began giggling like a child.
.
PART THREE…
The scenery along the cliffs was glorious, the air was brisk, and given there were no clouds, sunlight was filtering down through the sparse canopy in feathery ribbons. For a while we walked together quietly. But then, suddenly, she spun towards me, and with piercing eyes, she blurted: “I am afraid it might kill me if I do not agree with it.” Whelmed with emotion, I stopped and stared at her silently for some moments.
.
Could what she was speaking about actually exist?
.
“It seemed to care for me at first,” she went on. “It appeared as something charismatic and energized, but also repugnant and nullifying. I didn’t understand the juxtapose. It was promising me a chance to be part of the new wonderland that was coming to earth, after the first seal was broken. I didn’t understand. It knew things about me that only I knew. Private things. Things I’ve never told anyone. How is that possible?”
.
Shaking my head, I responded to her feebly. “I’m so sorry… I’m really not sure how that’s possible.”
.
As we walked, I noticed she was fidgeting more, and her eyes were darting about anxiously, almost as if she was expecting something to attack us. Suddenly, she stopped and cried out…
.
“It was a colossal Titan I saw, with great powers of influence. A herculean Goliath, awful and frightening; something seemingly beautiful that had the power to corrupt DNA and create trans-human-hybrids. They’ve been on this earth before. Every culture has recorded them. Oh my goodness… I feel foolish telling you this. But please believe me when I say that something awful is coming upon this planet, and it makes me feel as if I am in a constant struggle not to drown. We are experiencing the prelude worldwide now, and I can assure you, it will not be the wonderful thing it claims to be. A great deception is coming, and many will be deceived…. and then destroyed.”
.
With a pained expression, she again took hold of my hand. I was positive now that Saoirse was the woman that I’d seen in my vision. Despite however lovely she seemed, standing there staring out to sea, her long hair wisping about in ocean breezes, I couldn’t help feeling that her entire life was in danger of being consumed by this thing that was raging unsettled in her. More than ever, I was convinced that we were together for a reason. I was supposed to help her. But try as I may, nothing came to me. No words. No thoughts. Nothing. I felt foolish, and as I struggled to find anything worthwhile to share, she clung to me weeping. How in the world could I help this woman?
.
Disgusted with myself, I cried out: ‘Lord God, please, help me!”
.
Instantly, a shaft of light pierced down into my essence, and I felt a surge of joy and focus. Hopefully now that hard-bitten silence caught in my throat would be loosed, and a bit ‘a wisdom concerning her plight would be forthcoming. Suddenly breaking free from her anxious thoughts, Saoirse began describing to me how a chillingly influential presence would at times move out from behind the light to inveigle her.
.
“I fear that at the appointed time a dimensional portal will be opened, and a monster will be released to abscond with everything pure and truthful. It’s like I’m only a tiny piece in something far greater than I could ever imagine. Perhaps I was given these visions so I could share them. Perhaps there are many others that are experiencing them too. Perhaps you and I finding each other was an act of God’s love and grace. Perhaps I am about to make the most important decision of my entire lifetime.…”
.
Saoirse’s emotions were wound as tight as a clock-spring, and my own heart was pounding edgily in cadence with hers. I knew that a battle for her soul was raging, but felt powerless in every way to help. That decision was hers. With wide, unblinking eyes, she went on to share that she’d once seen in a very vivid dream, an ancient evil ensconced on a black throne.
.
“It was encircled by the most loathsome creatures imaginable, and all of them were lusting to decimate humanity, and leave the Earth wet with the carnage of their despicable agenda. I’ve never felt such hatred before.”
.
The woman’s terrifying ejaculates flooded upon my soul, and I was drenched in the horror of her narrative. In that moment, the thought that had earlier begun taking shape in me, came into a much sharper focus. I saw her predicament in certain ways like oil and water. Left alone the elements separated naturally. But the more her mind churned, the more these ghastly notions coalesced into something far more difficult to make sense of. It was clear that when her emotional fervor lessened, an obvious dichotomy would emerge that she was too fraught to see.
.
Now…. with a fully charged sense of urgency, I again sought heaven for wisdom and direction. The time for Saoirse to know and accept the Truth had arrived. Within moments, another warming light had surged into me, and with it a clear understanding that never before had this woman fully grasped that the enemy of mankind is a hateful liar, and that he masquerades as an angel of light to deceive those who are not in possession of the Truth, those that are destined to die the second death. She did not fully understand yet that in the ‘Great Light of Truth’ there was no darkness. And that from this entity masquerading as light, amidst the blackened vile shadows that crept out from it; the lies and deceptions were overwhelming her.
.
At wits end, Saoirse collapsed against my chest, and in great dismay, she cried out: “What shall I do? Please! It is all too real….”
