For most fond memories,
Describe the transition from elementary to middle school.
I remember one kid who never saw high school;
When I think about this boy
I remember his positive qualities.
Always polite,
This made him popular with fellow classmates.
His hair was naturally wavy,
In those days, this was admired by girls in our class.
I remember him saving other kids
From being bullied by local gangs.
Not because of his size,
It was his charisma.
As kids used to walk a trail home from school,
A trail that would have been
A perfect dump site for a body…
So why could this charming, charismatic, fun-loving
Kid who saved others, not save himself?
From being a victim of a fatal shot to the abdomens,
He was taken too young.
He was in the wrong place at the wrong time? Or someone was jealous of his ability to charm others. Could be anything, but it's a terrible waste when a good kid like that doesn't make it a high school.
