When you read Hidden Death Trap, you will go through this wrongful death jury trial as a juror and read through all the evidence in the trial transcripts and after that you may email the author your comments and verdict.
70% of this book deals with the jury trial. One of the reasons I wrote this book is because I want to place my readers inside the courtroom for three days and be the jury. The defendant attorney for the Flamingo Hilton Hotel informed the jury during his closing argument what lawyers call the greater-than-50 per cent rule. The State of Nevada has adopted a law called "comparative negligence," a term you may see synonymously in the jury instructions as "contributory negligence." In the State of Nevada if an individual has caused or contributed more to his injuries or death by the slightest percentage than the negligence of the defendant, then the plaintiffs are barred from recovery, meaning they gain nothing. Occasional spa users may not be aware of some of the dangers hot water(over 104 degrees Fahrenheit)poses and need to know the hidden hazards of hot tubbing, which includes time limits when soaking in jetted tubs, excessive drinking and drugs, blood pressure and heart problems, early pregnancy and possibly pregnant women, through this true story. Druing this trial I was able to expose the real dangers that exists with this large jetted bathtub. The Flamingo Hilton Hotel knows I accomplished this by having this wrongful death case heard in front of a jury. Now it needs to be exposed outside of the courtroom.
