She creeps through the woods silently, dancing with the shadows created by the leaves.  Pale moonlite shines down through the canopy of foliage, catching her eyes just right.  They reflect red before she darts out of sight, sensing what prey might be near.  She sniffs the air, nose held high, then lets out a soft howl.  The night calls to her, tugs at her spirit, as she travels through the woods.  Just then, a tiny rabbit crosses her path and she’s swiftly upon it.  With tail held high, she chases the morsel.  She salvates as the taste brushes her lolling tongue as she runs.  With a swift dart and then a plunge, the rabbit is within her maw. 

Into a meadow she saunters, tail high and ears perked forward, feeling quite happy with herself.  The moon shines down brightest here, the tall grass swaying in the wind creates an image of a dark green sea.  Just then, a dark cloud seems to loom overhead, blocking out the full moon’s light.  She flattens herself as best she can, paws covering her kill, and looks to the sky above with wide eyes.  What her eyes tell her, she cannot believe.  The creature she sees cannot be!  Myths and legends, tales of fae even, have only spoken of such beasts.  Yet, her eyes do not decieve her.

A dragon has seeminly found her favourite lounging spot, come to soak up the moonlight as well.  She becomes frantic as his massive black eyes spy here there with a meal.  Her eyes try to find a way out, but to no avail, and this creature is too formidable to fight.  A low growl rises up in her throat in hopes to warn off this winged beast.  Yet, her warnings go unheeded as he slowly approaches her.  Her hackles are raised now and her ears back in hopes of looking more ferocious.

This dragon, curious as to what this furry thing is in the meadow, inches closer for a better inspection.  It smiles a toothy grin in kind gesture.  This eases her fears, yet only slightly though, and she crawls forward a little.  She extends her neck out so that she might catch a wiff of this creature.  Since she’s never seen one before, she doesn’t even know what they should smell like.  After much contemplation, hesitation, and sniffing, she settles down.
