This story is to educate readers about Noonan Syndrome.
Hello and welcome. I'm Shalene Richards a new mom and author of my fist book "Poetic Wings". My 8mths old son was diagnosed with Noonan Sydrome at 2 mths old. Noonan Syndrome is a genetic disorder that may affect the heart and kidney. It is associated with facial abnormalies that includes: slanted eyes, flat nose bridge, low set ears etc. One of the common heart defects of Noonan SYdrome which I will futher refer to as NS is Pulmonic Stenosis. Thats the heart defect that my son has which will be corrected by surgery. I'll keep updating my story. But feel free to check out the website for more information on NS. www.noonansyndrome.org.
