An oath that every new parent should have to sign.

A parent’s oath

My child, at your birth I make you these promises:

I will always love you more than anything else on earth.

I will always put you first.

I am willing do without to insure that you do not.

I will never harm you; in fact I promise to give my life for you if need be.

I will never say or do anything to harm your relationship with your other natural parent.

I will teach you by what I do, not just by what I say.

Too many parents are anything BUT. I know. I live by two who are terrible parents to their children. Sad situation ...
