A few years ago my wife and I were out shopping just a week or so before Christmas and we decided to eat at Cracker Barrel in Katy, Texas. We sat down and ordered our iced teas and were looking at the menu when an older couple not far away caught my eye. 

He was cutting his wifes dinner into small pieces for her as she watched and smiled at him from her wheelchair. The thought that his own meal was getting cold had no relevance to him as his love for her was clear.

When our waitress came to take our orders I told her that I wanted their check and I nodded towards them. She explained that they were not at one of her tables but that she would relay my message to whoever had that table. 

So as we are awaiting our meals another waitress came and handed me their check and smiled. I thanked her and told her to tell them that their bill had been taken care of by someone else and then I walked over to the checkout area to pay for it. When I handed the lady the check she asked me how my meal was and I explained that I hadn''t tasted it yet but was simply paying for someone elses meal before they could. She said what a blessing it was and I thanked her. 

My wife and I finished our meal and went to pay for it and a cashier took my credit card from my hand as I was about to run it and I heard "stop!" The same cashier from earlier

 explained that she wanted to pay for our meal in a return act of kindness and I told her that it was completely unnecessary. She loudly said " don''t steal my blessing!" "Please let me, I want some of that feeling."

I paused and reluctantly agreed. We hugged and shared tears together.

It was a special moment indeed. Complete  strangers hugging and teary eyed together enjoying Gods grace.
