I've a new story to tell about Barbara*, a middle-aged lady who faced a really big scare this summer. In May, Barbara had some sharp breast pain. A couple of times during the month she also felt things moving in her glands. As she wasn't nursing and hadn't children, Barbara became concerned.
She was ill & injured last year so she didn't have her usual exam. Immediately, Barbara called her gyneoclogist and went in for an exam. Her doctor ordered a mammogram and a sonogram.
Barbara went in for her exams. After about 12 mammograms and sonograms of both breasts, they determined Barbara had 5 cysts in one breast and 3 cysts in the other. However, they could not definitely eliminate cancer. This was of serious concern to my friend.
She was in shock for about a month. In the next month, she started researching about breast cancer, starting at the MSK.org website. She also checked pubmed.gov and the Linus Pauling institute of Oregon State University.
Barbara viewed a video by Dr. Larry Norton of Memorial Sloan Kettering. It is an online report about current info on Breast Cancer research and treatments. It is quite enlightening! He recommended that folks take Calcium and Vitamin D3 daily.
In a July 2008 NIH & Drexel University report, researchers found that iodine appears to aid breast health. Iodine was determined to interfere with the progression of breast disease. (1)
Another study mentions that a patient's vitamin D3 Level is a good marker of the return potential of cancer.
Another report mentions that very strong anti-perspirants may block the sweat glands. Apparently the human body has three other places that are used to expell toxins. These would be found behind the knees, in the groin area and the armpits.
So Barbara went to her pharmacy to buy Crystal (R) deodorant. It is available as a solid or as a roll-on deodorant. To use the solid form, one must rinse it under tap water prior to rubbing on the whole underarm area. She noticed little change in her perspiration. Crystal (R) also supports breast cancer research.
Barbara also read a report that stated the citrus fruits aid the body moving lymph fluids through the mammary glands. So Barbara made following changes:
1. Drinking grapefruit juice regularly.
2. Taking two drops of KI (potassium Iodide) 2x /week in her beverages.
3. Changed to Crystal deodorant.
4. Consumed 2000 IU of vitamin D3 daily.
5. Began consuming foods high in inodine such as codfish, potatoes and shellfish.

*A three-ounce serving of meat is about the size of a deck of cards.
After 2 months, this worry was too much for Barbara to continue waiting. So she called Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. However, since she'd not been diagnosed with "Cancer", they wouldn't take her. They did recommend NYC doctors: Jacob Lichy MD and Thomas Kolb MD , former MSK physicians, who might be able to assist her.
These Physicians have examined >11,000 women. They've found that the three means of exam are best: physical exam, mammogram and sonogram. Their report is available at their office in NYC. They've also written a Ladies Home Journal article on Breast Pain!
A physician from this practice examined Barbara and found that at her age, she was losing her cysts. As this was a major relief, Barbara granted permission that I write this story and hopefully assist others.
