"Mr. Kinney, can you hear me?"
"Yes, I can hear you. You woke me, I’m groggy."
"Mark, we would like you to read from your notebook so these men can assess your situation."
"I don’t feel like reading it. That’s all I have been doing since I got here."
"OK, calm down. These gentlemen have not heard your story yet. Please read it to them."
" What—they can’t read?"
"They want to hear the story from you."
"I told you before, I’m tired of reading it. You people don’t listen very well, do you?"
"Mr. Kinney, remember the temper control methods, we have learned and why you are here."
"I am in here because you people erroneously assumed I attempted suicide."
"We have resolved that problem, Mr. Kinney. We understand what happened to you now. I’m going to leave you with Detectives’ DeMartini and Slavers now." The nurse said as she replaced a med chart on its hook near the door. "I will be right outside if you need me."
"I hope this is the last time I have to do this." Without making eye contact with the two men who stood next to him, he offered, "Why don’t you gentlemen have a seat."
Detective DeMartini was the first to speak. "My name is Det. James DeMartini and this is my partner, Det. Glenn Slavers. Both men flashing badges attached to their belts. We apologize for this intrusion, Mr. Kinney, but you did give us permission to speak with you today."
Slavers took a seat and with across of one leg over the other, leaned back in the chair. "And we still have a few unanswered questions for you before we wrap this up." Mark Kinney eyed the man before turning to back to DeMartini.
"Then let’s get this over with because this is difficult." Mark said as he opened the laptop.
