Humans are sometimes thirsty to speculate and make interpretations without scientific evidence or historical basis. Believers are even adamant to talk about their religion to avoid conflict or embarrassment. They don't accept reason and simply live on faith. However, if they can only get out of their comfort zones, balance facts from speculations, and welcome new evidence that might shed new lights on what they believe, the world might be different today. Believing is not only seeing. It also requires logic, reason and evidence. 

Just like those yesteryears, people believed that the earth was flat. When men learned to sail, the concept was put to rest. However, if you go out outside and look at through the horizon the Earth still looks flat. The experience defies logic, reason and even evidence. Even to this day, some people still refused to believe that the Earth is round. No amount of information, not even firsthand photographs of the Earth captured by the International Space Station, the Hubble Space Telescope or unmanned space probes would ever change their perceptions. These pieces of evidence are worthless because they already preconditioned their minds. 

Religion also carries the same predicament. Although verifiable errors and incontestable mistakes are found throughout the bible, these pieces of evidence are worthless because devotees are already preconditioned to believe God is the ultimate, all-perfect, all-present, all-powerful, all-good, and all-knowing being. However, if believers will only think for awhile and reflect that if God is really bound of making no mistakes then his holy book should be free from errors as well. Yet, the Bible considered as the inspired word of god is filled with errors.

The first glaring mistake the bible has committed actually comes from the very first passage of its very first book - the Genesis. It speaks "God in the beginning created the heaven and earth". This verse is totally fallacious. Why? Because before the birth of our mother earth there are other planets that came first during the formation of the universe. Even in our own solar system, there are other planets that came first before Earth. And there are many other planets, suns and galaxies that came first ahead of our milky way as well. Hence, it is impossible that on the very first day of creation, earth was created first and the rest of the universe was created later. This totally doesn't make sense. 

The second big mistake the bible has committed is about the interpretation or creation of heaven(s). Remember that God in the beginning created only two objects: the heaven and the earth. But, based on the books of Genesis, Corinthians, and John, there are three interpretations of heaven. Heaven is interpreted as the sky, the universe or another dimension. However, only one of these three could be the correct one? It can't be all three! But, which one? 

Let us extrapolate. If Heaven is the universe and Earth is part of the universe, then it could not be the sky nor another dimension. If earth is part of heaven, then heaven is the universe. But heaven could not be the universe since the universe can be detected and sensed while heaven can't be detected and sensed at all. We dont even see angels and saints in space. So heaven could not be the universe. Now, If heaven is another dimension, then obviously earth is not part of this dimension. If it does, then rejoice, all of us are already in heaven. But earth is not a part of heaven hence heaven could not be another dimension. The only possible logical answer is that heaven is the visible arch of the sky where clouds are made. It is the dome above our head which is commonly referred as the sky. This statement is conclusively based on the various passages found in the bible, e.g. the book of revelation. 

Even outside the bible, some ancient painters, sculptors and writers interpreted Heaven as the sky above where divine beings live. Evidence of these ideas can be found widely on their paintings and sculptures. Images of angels guarding the gates of heaven, cherubim playing the harps, and saints sitting on the clouds were evidently depicted on most of their arts. These images have obviously been conceptualized from the confinement of what they see everyday: the sky above their heads and the earth below their feet. This perception of the above-below scenario led their minds to the idea of heaven and earth. 

The story of creation is as well a man-made perception than a godly declaration. Why? Biblical writers thought that the earth was the center of the universe with edges, ends, four corners, foundations and pillars. If the story is inspired by god, then this cosmological arrangement could have been corrected by god himself. He could have even included the galaxies, suns, planets, milky way outside our solar system in his creation. He could have invented even a better word for heaven to describe the universe. He could have even created water, vegetation and creatures on the other nearby planets. It doesn't make sense creating the whole universe in the first place and making earth the only planet that harbors life. He could have selected Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn or the other planets in the cosmos as the pioneering planet of life as well. He could have sequentially arranged the order of creation parallel to what science offers today. But because the story of creation was conceived and written by ancient men who were not scientifically inclined and with limited vocabulary obviously the bible will be filled with errors, mistakes and assumptions.
