Several years ago a friend asked us to pray for the daughter of a friend of hers. The daughter had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.
You all know how it works. When friends call and ask us to pray, we in turn ask our prayer warriors to pray as well. None of us know how many people end up praying for someone.
It's like a ripple effect.
Many times during my life I've thought about the poem about the footprints in the sand. Looking back, seeing just one set of footprints, at the time, I thought they were my own. It wasn't until many years later I realized the footprints were deeper than an impression I would have left. Indicating someone had to be carrying me.
All these years, I've been "armed" and didn't know it. Like David with his Sling and the stone. He was armed to take on the giants.....I'm "armed" to take on my giants.
So many people prayed for my friends daughter, with the brain tumor. She came home from the hospital, but had to be re-admitted to another hospital several weeks later. The second hospital ordered more tests to determine what her treatment needed to be. They (the doctors) were puzzled because there was no sign of a tumor. They claimed the first hospital and original medical team had misdiagnosed her. But we all knew, she was armed.....with just a sling and a stone.
