Her eyes became round at the sight of her boy friend. He was a black boy about six feet three inches tall with long dreads that went down to the bottom of his neck. He wore a black shirt with the words “are you in”, some blue jeans, and a pair of black and red Nike Jordans. He looked down at Jordan and smiled. Jordan did not return it with a smile but with a look of shock.
“So are you not happy to see me,” said Jericho.
“No I’m happy to see you but why are you here,” said Jordan.
“I shouldn’t have a reason to come see my girlfriend. Are you hiding something?”
“No it’s just that you were shot and you shouldn’t be walking around like this.”
“Jordan, those doctors don’t care. I walked out of the front doors in front the person who performed my surgery.”
“But what happens if your wound opens up?”
“It’s nothing for you to concern yourself with. Right now I just want you.”
Jordan blushed, total pushing Will out of her mind.
“I’m flattered but you really need to…”
Jericho put a finger over her mouth to quiet her and then kissed her. She softly pushed him away.
“We shouldn’t be doing this here…”
Jericho kissed her again. This time Jordan did not push him away. She wrapped her arms around his neck pulled him in closer.
Meanwhile, Will was on his laptop writing down ideas for songs. James stared at him wondering about what he should say. Will peaked over his shoulder and saw James staring at him.
“Why are you staring at me,” said Will. “Did you finally score a girl?”
“No that’s not why I’m staring at you,” said James.
“Then why are you staring at me?”
“I saw you out there singing and talking Maci.”
Will gave him a sideways look.
“She walked up to me and tried to give me advice. She also said that she would never hook up with me either. All of that was odd.”
“I can second that. But what if I told you that another girl was watching you?
“I would say that’s impossible because I looked all around me and didn’t see anyone. Besides why would any girl in her right mind look at me just because I was singing?”
“You were singing good.”
“It still could be better. It sounds like I’m trying too hard and forcing it. No girl likes a bad singer.”
James gave Will a look of disbelief.
“Come on, you have to at least admit that you sound good.”
“I can’t because I sound horrible.”
James shook his head and turned to his laptop which was sitting on his bed. He typed in a web site and gasped at what he saw. What was playing on the screen was Jericho and Jordan having sex from the vantage point of what looked like a TV stand. Will turned to him.
“What’s wrong with you,” said he.
“Nothing,” said James closing the laptop quickly. “It was just an email from my mom.”
“Oh,” said Will turning back to his laptop.
James looked angrily at the laptop thinking about Jordan and Jericho. He got up and walked towards the door.
“Where are you going,” asked Will suddenly.
James turned to him.
“I’m going to settle some business.”
Will got up.
“Do you need any help?”
“No. There will be no fighting involved with this one. If I need you then I’ll call you.”
And with that he walked out.
Back in Jordans room, the both of them were sitting on the bed watching TV. Maci walked in the room then and shook her head.
“Honestly you could have came to visit her when you were healed,” said she putting her purse on her night stand.
“Yeah, but I need that alone time with my baby,” said Jericho kissing Jordan on the neck. “They won’t let me do it in the hospital.”
“I’ll bet,” said Maci.
“Look, I’ll take you back to the hospital so you won’t be in trouble,” said Jordan. “You have to stay there until you’re better. Do you understand me?”
“Yes ma’am,” said Jericho kissing her again.
The both of them got up and left the room. Maci shook her head and sat down on her bed to watch TV. Suddenly she noticed a red light. She got up and walked over to the TV stand. Then she gasped and grabbed a video camera that was still recording. She became angry and stormed out of the room.
Once she was out of the dorm she fast walked towards the parking lot. James, who was going in the same direction, saw her.
“Hey,” yelled he.
Maci turned towards him, looking at him as if he was crazy.
“What makes you think you can just talk to me like that.”
“That girl ain’t going to two time my boy like that. He has enough confidence issues already.”
“That girl has a name, and what boy are you talking about.”
“I’m talking about Will. Yo girl likes him but I saw Jericho giving her the business.”
“Wait you saw them. But how?”
“It was on one of Jericho’s website that requires a password. I’m not going to let my boy like someone who’s just going to do him like that.”
“Wait he likes her.”
“That’s right and she likes him too.”
“What makes you say that?
“Just before ten Will was singing in front of our dorms and she around the corner acting like she enjoyed it.”
“You saw that too. She thought she hid from me but I saw her enjoying his singing. Lately she’s been acting funny and now I know why. I think she has fallen for Will.”
“Yeah and I think Will has fallen for her but thinks she’s out of his league. This might be ugly.”
“Your right. She’s still with Jericho and there is no sign of them breaking it off soon.”
The both of them stood there thinking for a minute.
“What should we do,” said Maci looking up at the stars.
“I think we should just keep a watch over the both of them,” said James.
“Let’s do that. Hopefully this will solve itself out.”
And with that the two of them parted thinking about what to do with their friend.
