Big Sister
Big Sister chipmunk is a chipmunk sitter. Does that mean she sits on little chipmunks? No, she doesn't sit on little chipmunks. She sits for little chipmunks the way a baby-sitter sits for you. That's why she is called a chipmunk sitter.
Most of the time, chipmunk sitting in fun and easy. When mommy chipmunk goes out, she asks big sister to watch the baby chipmunk.
Big sister plays games with baby chipmunk and makes him lunch. She even reads baby chipmunk funny books.
One day, big sister was playing hide and go seek in the back yard. They laughed and giggled. They took turns counting. Then, big sister did not laugh. She coundn't find baby chipmunk.
Big sister looked up!
Big sister looked down!
Big sister looked here!
Big sister looked there!
Big sister looked just about everywhere.
Then, little chipmunk jumped out!
Then they both giggled.
"Funny little chipmunk, it is time for your nap!"
