Deals with males showing more discipline sexually.
SEXUAL RESPONSIBILITY

Sexual responsibility is not a subject that many people feel comfortable with or want to hear discussed in today’s world. Probably there has never been a time that men really wanted to address this topic. However, with the Aids problem, fatherless, homeless children, and so other social problems made by a lack of control in this area, attempts must continue to be made to make people think about their actions.
It seems males particularly have been let off the hook when blame is assigned for sexual immatureness. Males traditionally have been taught that the language of love is expressed by following through on the biological and instinctive drive that he has no control over. Hence, we have countless unwanted, fatherless children, countless abortions, marriages started for the wrong reasons, and single unwed mothers. Society usually labels the female as the problem and males are basically left unblemished. Females are left to pay the consequences of which there are many.
Males it seems are conditioned from a very early age that sexual satisfaction must be achieved at all costs. Recently, I read where one male stated that he could prove his manhood by “getting a girl”. Blame can be placed in a lot of different areas: society, family, church, school, television, radio, newspapers, and magazines. However, I feel that males need to accept more responsibility for their actions.
I admit that males are sex driven. I will not buy the notion that this is such a terminal condition that cannot be controlled. Some things can be done to help. Males need to be taught that sex is normal, good, and that if used as intended by God, can be an extremely positive experience. Marriage is no doubt the best way for it to be used and I’m sure that most ministers would agree with this. Males need to be taught that outside of these conditions, there will always be consequences to contend with. Many people in today’s society have been taught, subconsciously I might add, that sex is to be used to manipulate, dominate, and hold power over ones’ partner. Of course, this is unhealthy. Many males will tell females that if you love me, you’d do it.
So males need to accept more responsibility in this area. There are some things that could have help change this problem. Parents should teach males at a very young age that sex should be used when they are married and not any other time.
Counseling is one area that can help open the eyes of males in our society. Grown males need to teach male children that sexual responsibility is important. This can be done in the schools, church groups, and families, on radio, television and the print media. Only this kind of concerted effort will make a difference in changing the mindset that exists today about this topic.
