Every author should have a well written bio that tells the reader all about them. I have read many bios for various authors and some of them are well written, while others need alot of improvement. If you do not know how to write a well written bio, have someone else who knows how to, write it for you. In this article, I will offer several tips for writing bios for authors.
1) Provide Attention Graber for the Reader
2) Background Information. The background information should include your name, where you are from, membership affiliations, how you got involved in writing and becoming an author, key role models, favorite writers, and subjects/themes related to your writing.
3) Awards. List your awards or nominations.
4) Featured Publications & Appearances. This where you will mention any places where you will mention featured publications and appearances. Provide as much information as possible.
5) Books. List all of your books (include title,brief description of each book, and publisher information).
6) Additional Information. Mention current projects, news, events and upcoming books.
7) Contact Information. Name, Mailing Address, Phone Number, Email Address and Website Address(es)
