Greetings dear authors and readers. I am writing this article to encourage people who are hurting in our world today. Whether it is do to health, financial, or abuse issues, I want to encourage you. Things can be better. I am specifically aiming at abused individuals.
Mayybe you grew up in a home, where you were abused physically, emotionally, sexually, or verbally. There is help available at your fingertips. Maybe you were rape victim. I would like to recommend a few books and their authors.
First of all, "Run For Your Life", by Elisabeth Freeman. You may find out how to purchase this book at the author's web site which is: http://atime2heal.org She also has other helpful information for troubled teenagers and their parents.
Secondly, "Good Mourning", by Wendy E. Simon. This book is about her life, having grown up in an abusing household. She was aused sexually, physically, emotionally, and verbabally. She shares her life story, and how she survived those years. She made wrong decisions, but she shares how she became an overcomer via counseling. You may contact her through her publisher.
Thirdly, "Freedom In Christ', and "Freedom From Addiciton", by Dr. Neil T. Anderson. He is the founder of Freedom in Christ Ministries. There is one in the United States and also overseas. In the book, "Freedom From Addiction", you will find how to achieve freedom from addictive behavior, pornography, drinking, smoking, drugs, etc.! There is a specific scripture I would like to leave with you. (John 8:31-36)
I would like to draw your attention to verse 32. If we find the truth, being God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, by finding Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we can be free from our past. We can be free from the abuse we might have experienced on our lives. We can be free or find freedom from any current or past abuse in our lives.
Maybe we are living in an abusing relationship or marriage. Dear friends, "Seek to be free; for freedom is awaiting you." If this doesn't apply to you, maybe you are aware of an abused child, neighbor, someone who has been raped or molested. Are you aware of an alcoholic member of a family, a husband or parent, who when intoxicated abuses a member of his or her family.
I am directing this article to encourage any person, whether you are the abused or abuser. Seek help for yourself or that person. Report any abuse to the proper authorities.
My desire is to encourage the hurting in our world today. These books and the organization I recommended, are available on the internet and bookstores. We have such high technology today. There are people, books, and many organizations right at our fingertips. Remember, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life." Help is a prayer, web site, or telephone call away.
In the book, "Good Mourning", the author lists many helpful organizations and reading materials on all of these subjects. Hopefully, this article has given you some encouragement, after you finish reading it. God bless each one of you. Do take the first step to geting help for yourself, others, or the abuser.
Having been molested as a young girl by a close relative, I know, that a person can break free from their past. Unknown to me, while in my younger married years, there was sexual abuse happening in my own home. I wasn't aware of it whatsoever.
Dear internet friends, do know, "Help for you in this hurting world", is close at hand. Do take the first step. You can be free of your past. If you, or you know of anyone involved in abuse, seek the available helps. It is right at your fingertips via the internet, books, organizations, and the telephone. God bless each and everyone of you.
