Aside from what has been wrongly said about the UK health system in some US adverts, let me put you into a different ball game.
No one born who is a UK citizen has to pay for any medical treatment. Of course no system is perfect and ours is far from that, the thing is it works. it is a health care system that does provides a full spctrum of medical care for all conditions.
Because of its structure it is both a providor of in hospital care, doctor surgery care, and for the elderly an disabled it provides at home care. For those over 60 it also provides free medicines and other services.
Cancer care, Coronary care, accident and emergency care, specialist hospitals, the field is as wide as is a persons condition.
Of course it cost money to run but know one is expected to pay from cradle to grave. And no one is denied treatment because they have no insurance, its not required, or because they cannot afford health care, it is not required. Nor is it providing a service for one and not another.
If you choose private health care you can, and some people do in the UK.
You do not get many options at living, so why should some have a better way to live well than others.
